REU Trainee Piotr Nabrzyski (a senior at Purdue University) presented his research conducted at the University of Houston’s IUCRC BRAIN summer REU Site program at the IEEE Brain Discovery and Neurotechnology Workshop held on September 12 – 13, 2025 in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
His research is titled: EEGReXferNet: A Lightweight Gen-AI Framework for EEG Subspace Reconstruction via Cross-Subject Transfer Learning and Channel-Aware Embedding. Piotr’s graduate student mentor was PhD student Shan Sarkar (not pictured) at the Prof. Jose Contreras-Vidal laboratory for noninvasive brain-machine interface systems. This work won an Honorable Mention at University of Houston 2025 IUCRC BRAIN Research Symposium.
