Biosketch Kai Gomez is a rising senior at St. John's School in Houston, Texas. Her two biggest passions in life are the arts and helping others, specifically in regard to mental health. She has interned with the renowned Vail Dance Festival, volunteers with Arte Publico Press, and is a leader of her school's mental health club. Through the IUCRC REM program, she hopes to approach neuroscience through the lens of art and potentially deepen our understanding of mental illness in interdisciplinary ways. To Kai, art and science are not mutually exclusive, and is excited to participate in the revolutionary work University of Houston's BRAIN Center does!
