Biosketch Shannon Fanning is a K-12 STEM Teacher with 23 years of experience in education currently teaching in La Porte ISD. Fanning was the 2020-21 Elementary District Teacher of the Year. She holds a B.S. in Education and a M.S. in Teaching Leadership and presents professionally state-wide on best practices for 3-D science instruction and full inclusion practices. In her available free time, Fanning enjoys spending time with her daughters and volunteering with local animal rescue groups. She is also a competitive sailor on Galveston Bay.
