Biosketch Aditi Bang is a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering student at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a minor in Social Justice and on the premedical track. She is passionate about the intersection of engineering, medicine, and public health, with a particular interest in health disparities. At Georgia Tech, she is an undergraduate researcher at the Cardiovascular Fluid Mechanics Lab, focusing on TAVR/HALT research. Aditi also serves as a teaching assistant for systems physiology, an engineering class focused on different body systems. Beyond academics, she is a dedicated mental health advocate, working as a certified Crisis Text Line counselor and organizing campus initiatives focused on suicide prevention and mental wellness. Her long-term goal is to pursue a career in medicine, combining clinical care with research and advocacy to advance health equity. As an REU intern at the University of Houston, Aditi is excited to expand her research skills, collaborate with a diverse academic community, and explore innovative biomedical solutions to pressing healthcare challenges!
