Biosketch Alana is a rising senior at the University of Arizona, originally from New Jersey. They are majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics, and minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Alana currently works in a brain imaging lab at the University of Arizona investigating Alzheimer’s Disease markers in the hippocampus. They plan to go to graduate school to pursue a master’s degree or PhD in neural engineering or computational neuroscience. They may also decide to continue in academia to become a professor, as they enjoy being a supplemental instructor and look forward to being a teacher’s assistant.
