Biosketch Jocelyn Ramos began her research experience in 2019 by working with UH’s undergraduate research programs HERE and Houston Scholars in developing possible mitigation techniques for the negative effects of urbanization and inequality in the Houston area, as well as improvements to the flood drainage system. In the summer of 2020, Jocelyn completed a neurotechnology REU program with the University of Houston where she conducted research on the design of milli-scale biomedical robots for use in blood clot removal. She has since continued to do related research with the Swarm Control lab at the University of Houston in developing an automated method of optimization for the design of these robots. In her spare time, Jocelyn enjoys playing flute, baking desserts, and rock climbing.
