Regulatory Science for Engineering Intuitive, Engaging, Safe and Effective Human-Device Interaction
Interested in gaining research experience in medical device design and regulatory science?

Spend twelve weeks this summer performing research in regulatory science of biomedical devices at the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston (UH), Houston, Texas and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Silver Spring, Maryland — and earn a $6,000 stipend! Travel and Student Residence Housing will be provided!

The IUCRC BRAIN at the Cullen College of Engineering (CCoE) at the University of Houston is excited to co-host a new Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) programs with the FDA in the summer of 2025. The objective of this engineering REU Site focused on regulatory science of biomedical technologies, is to develop a diverse, inclusive, and socially responsible workforce of young scientists, engineers and design professionals needed to address major gaps in the early-stage development of products and processes to fulfil the healthcare needs of the U.S.
